Mejlis head: two young Crimean Tatars abducted in occupied Crimea

Two Crimean Tatars have been abducted by unidentified individuals in Crimea’s Bilohirsk District, 5 Kanal tv said at 14:00. The guys were manhandled into a VW minibus with the number plates reading 755 region 82. Such vehicle registration plates have been introduced by the authorities of the occupied peninsula.

Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, told 5 Kanal about the details of the incident, which occurred yesterday in Sary-Su district of Bilohirsk.

Chubarov said:”Immediately after the abduction became known, the father notified the police and Russia’s Federal Security Service. Their representatives visited, as did representatives of the so-called Crimean authorities. It is very difficult to say at present who may be behind this, but there can be no doubt that it is a clear act of provocation aimed against the Crimean Tatars, acts of provocation aimed at the Crimean Tatars.”
