Ukraine destroyed 33 out of 37 Russian Shahed-131/136 drones launched from the Balaklava areas in Russian-occupied Crimea overnight into 8 March.
Russian troops also launched one S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and two X-59 guided air defense missiles from the Balaklava areas in Russian-occupied Crimea overnight. However, Ukraine’s Air Forces didn’t specify where they were hit.
Russian 33 Shahed drones were downed over Kirovohrad, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv oblasts.
Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov said Russian drones hit the city of Chuhuiv in the oblast in the early hours of 8 March, injuring seven people, including a three-year-old child and 16-year-old teenager.
The attack also damaged a nine-story residential building, shops, a hotel, and cars.
Ukraine’s Air Defense destroyed two drones over Kherson Oblast, Governor Oleksandr Produkin said. There were no casualties reported.
Odesa Governor Oleh Kiper said a Russian drone hit an infrastructure facility overnight in Odesa.
