Drones hit oil depot, energy facility in Russia’s Oryol

The drones reportedly hit the Oryolnefteprodukt oil depot and the building of an Oryolenergo energy provider.

Drones hit oil depot, energy facility in Russia’s Oryol

On 9 January, several drones reportedly struck “a facility of a fuel and energy complex” in Russia’s city of Oryol, regional governor Andrey Klychkov reported.

“I report that in the city of Oryol, two unmanned aerial vehicles have fallen on a facility of a fuel and energy complex,” Klychkov. said.

Later, Klychkov reported that the third drone fell on a non-residential building near the village of Malaya Sakhanka near Oryol.

According to Klychkov, three people were reportedly injured.

According to Russian pro-Kremlin media outlet Mash, the drones reportedly hit the Oryolnefteprodukt oil depot and the building of an Oryolenergo energy provider.

Russian propaganda media outlet Ria Novosti, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, reported that Russian air defenses allegedly shot down four Ukrainian drones in the Kursk Oblast and two in the Oryol Oblast.

Ukrainian officials have not commented on these events.
