During the traditional nightly Euromaidan rally near the monument to Shevchenko in Kharkiv, people remembered the victims of Kyiv and declared a mobilization to Kyiv.
The prior of St. John the Divine Church, Father Viktor Marynchak, served a requiem, and the protesters lit candles in memory of the victims.People are standing with placards “All to Kyiv” and “Mobilization to Kyiv 478 miles.”
“We are arranging shipment of people – it’s not only men but also female doctors. Anyone who can support Euromaidan in Kyiv in defending freedom (is welcome – ed.). We are trying to provide the maximum of help with money, clothing and medicines,” one of the activists in Kharkiv Volodymyr Chystylin said. He noted that they do not plan to transport large groups of people to possibly avoid being blocked by security forces.
In addition, the decision to mobilize people in support of the protesters in Kyiv was announced by the activists of Crimean Euromaidan.
Reports already show that in a number of towns in the West of Ukraine a general mobilization has been declared.Earlier it was reported that the authorities decided to restrict entry to Kyiv on Wednesday night.
