Russia intends to achieve its goals in Ukraine “on the ground,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. In his view, Ukraine’s leadership is allegedly “not ready” to end the war through diplomatic means, ZN.UA reports.

Russia is using the peace talks in Ukraine to achieve its goal of the complete destruction of Ukraine, using the method of the Soviet official Gromyko. In more than a year of meetings with the delegation from Kyiv, Moscow has achieved record-breaking drone and ballistic missile launches.

At the same time, Moscow would not accept a settlement in potential peace negotiations that preserves the current Ukrainian government, despite the fact that it is supported by the majority of Ukrainians.

Russia says it will continue the war

“Since the Kyiv regime is not ready for this (constructive dialogue), we will achieve the goals of the ‘special military operation’ on the ground, which is exactly what is happening now,” Lavrov stated.

Lavrov also sought to flatter the US, saying that “Americans, unlike Europeans, are promoting the need to resolve the issue of recognizing the realities on the ground,” and claimed they allegedly support Russia’s occupation of the entire Donbas in order to “eliminate the root causes of the conflict.”

Currently, over 200,000 people live in Donbas. Leaving them to the Russians after war crimes in Bucha, Kherson, and Bakhmut will mean repressions, torture, and genocide.

Ukraine again labeled a "Nazi state"

At the same time, Lavrov named a second “reason” — what he called the existence of a “Nazi regime in Kyiv,” which he claimed would continue hostile anti-Russian activity.

“We have said many times that a settlement which preserves the Nazi regime is a serious problem. It is not as simple as saying: ‘let’s stop along the line of contact and everything will be fine.’ It won’t,” Lavrov said.

Since 2014, Ukraine has had two different presidents and two different parliaments, none of which are politically identical. Nevertheless, both previous and current Ukrainian governments have been labeled “Nazis” by the Kremlin.
