Oleksandrivka direction sees breakthrough—Russia loses coordination as Ukrainian paratroopers exploit chaos

At the junction of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, Ukrainian forces continue to press Russian troops intensively. According to the General Staff, citing the Air Assault Command, Kyiv soldiers liberated nine settlements on the Oleksandrivka direction in the past week alone.

After Starlink cut off the connection to Russia, for the first time in many months, Ukraine began liberating more territory than it was losing on the front. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as a result of counterattacks and assault operations, control was restored over more than 300 square kilometers of territory.

“As of now, nine settlements have been liberated. Three settlements have been cleared of enemy forces in our zone, and work is currently underway to liberate several more,” the report states.

Clearing operations continue in several villages

“Units of the Air Assault Forces continue to press the enemy, liberate Ukrainian territory, destroy occupiers, and methodically cut their logistical arteries,” the Air Assault Forces Command reports.

Ukrainian paratroopers are using a combination of precision and massed strikes to destroy Russian manpower, weapons, and military equipment.

“The operation was conducted according to a defined plan, and within a week, due to technical measures, Russian access to the Starlink network was restricted,” the Air Assault Forces adds.

This significantly impacted the occupiers’ situational awareness and complicated unit management in the initial phase.

Russian plans disrupted, bridgehead opened for advance

As a result of Ukrainian actions, enemy firing positions, ammunition depots, and personnel were destroyed. According to intelligence, this disrupted the Russian unit's offensive plans and created a bridgehead for tactical Ukrainian advances.

Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia are attempting to break through defenses to reach the main city of Zaporizhzhia. The last major obstacle for them is the village of Stepnohirsk, which Ukrainian soldiers are defending fiercely.

According to Ukrainian military estimates, the lifespan of one mobilized Russian soldier in this direction is about 12 minutes. The cost of eliminating a Russian fighter using shells and FPV drones is estimated at $5–6 thousand.
