The European Union and partner countries are preparing new large-scale support packages for Ukraine to be agreed by 24 February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, according to reporting by Suspilne.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Zelenskyy said work is underway on what he described as the largest possible energy support package. He added that separate efforts are focused on supplying additional air defense missiles and other measures to strengthen Ukraine’s military.
Partners agree on 10-day deadline for "maximum" packages
Zelenskyy said agreements with European partners are currently being finalized and that the European Commission is also preparing a package to be coordinated before the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
According to him, partners agreed that within the next 10-11 days “maximum support packages” for Ukraine should be formed. Ukrainian diplomats and military advisers are involved in the negotiations.
The president’s office said Ukraine will prepare and send all partners a list of needs to support the country’s energy infrastructure and military sector as part of the upcoming packages.
