Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi reported continued pressure from Russian occupying forces on the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne directions, where the Russian forces is using tactics of advancing with small infantry groups.

"The operational situation here is difficult. In the past week alone, there were about 400 combat clashes in these directions," Syrskyi wrote on social media.

According to the general, Russian army is not abandoning attempts to break through, is increasing pressure and pulling up reserves. He specified that the key task of Ukrainian forces is to inflict maximum losses on the enemy, destroy its reserves and consistently reduce offensive potential.

Syrskyi noted that he is working directly on site together with unit commanders, analyzing the course of combat operations in detail. Russians continue to use tactics of advancing with small infantry groups, which requires constant monitoring of the battlefield, clear coordination of units and flexible tactical decisions for their timely detection, containment and destruction.

The commander-in-chief emphasized special attention to strengthening unmanned systems units - primarily the use of strike drones to hit the occupiers, as well as the development of logistics involving robotic complexes.

According to the General Staff, as of the morning of 26 January, 138 combat clashes were recorded at the front during the previous day. On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 41 assault actions by the aggressor.
