Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced in Davos that a trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the US, and Russia will take place on 23 January in the United Arab Emirates.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine will be represented by key government and defense officials:
- Kyrylo Budanov — Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine;
- Rustem Umerov — Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council;
- Serhii Kyslytsia — First Deputy Head of the Office of the President;
- Andrii Hnatov — Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Commander-in-Chief;
- Davyid Arakhamia — Head of the “Servant of the People” faction, Secretary of the National Investment Council.
US delegation heads to Moscow ahead of the UAE talks
Zelenskyy noted that the American team is traveling to Moscow today for preparatory consultations before the trilateral meeting.
“They were waiting for our meeting with President Trump. Now they are going, my team will meet with the American team,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, Zelenskyy had a meeting with Donald Trump, which Ukraine and the US president described as a "good."
