The Netherlands is allocating funding for Ukraine for 2026. Amsterdam plans to provide an additional €700 million in military support to Kyiv in the first quarter of 2026, according to The Guardian.
Assistance is running out faster than planned
Earlier, the government promised to allocate €3.5 billion in support for next year, but a significant portion of these funds has already been spent this year.
Sybiha thanked the Netherlands for providing an additional €700 million in military support to Ukraine.
"The Dutch government's decision ... is a powerful demonstration of true solidarity. We deeply appreciate our strong partnership," Sybiha said.
Militarized Kremlin budget and billions for propaganda
This month, Vladimir Putin signed Russia’s budget for 2026, which allocates nearly 40% of all expenditures to the military and security structures. This is the highest level of funding since the Soviet era, and it is a direct indication that the Kremlin has no plans for peace.
In 2025, Russia reportedly spent over $1 billion solely on information operations against Ukraine and the EU.
Funding for disinformation campaigns comes through the classified budgets of Russia’s Ministry of Defense. Each year, the Kremlin allocates substantial sums only for disseminating false narratives.
