A second Russian drone was discovered in Moldova on Sunday, the country's police reported. The unmanned aircraft was found near Borosenii Noi village in Rîșcani district, with explosive ordnance teams deployed to the cordoned site.

The discovery follows an earlier crash in Fîrlădeni, Căușeni district.

"Initial examinations have identified it as a support aircraft for Russian-origin 'Shahed' drones, without any explosives attached. It is believed to have been part of last night's wave of drone attacks against Ukraine," police said.

Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi condemned the airspace violation.

"Two Russian decoy drones—used to mislead Ukrainian air defenses—crashed in Moldova today, endangering Moldovan lives and violating our airspace," he wrote on X.

The incidents occurred amid Russia's largest drone assault on Ukraine, involving 145 drones. According to Ukraine's Air Force, 62 were intercepted, 67 lost to tracking systems, and 10 strayed into neighboring Moldova, Belarus, and Russia.
