A Russian drone struck a Kyiv building housing Estonia’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Anneli Kolk, on 7 November, Estonian Foreign Minister Magnus Tsahkna reported. The Ambassador escaped unharmed.
Ukraine repeatedly urges NATO allies to intercept Russian missiles and drones – a call that remains unanswered due to perceived Russian red lines regarding direct NATO involvement.
“No one is safe in Ukraine until Russia stops its aggression. Ukraine needs more air defense to protect its residents. We must not get used to this,” Tsahkna wrote on X.
Ukrainian forces intercepted over 30 Russian drones during the attack. Debris fell across five Kyiv districts, injuring two people and damaging several buildings, city officials reported.
