Russian forces captured Selydove, Vyshneve, and Zoriane in Donetsk Oblast, according to Deep State monitoring group.

The group also reports Russian advances near Novoukrainka, Novovodmytrivka, and Kurakhivka.

Deep State analysts reported earlier that Russian military personnel were present in the Selydove city council building.

The Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security Council states that “Russians are committing significant forces to Selydove, and the battle for the city continues.”

On 27 October, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported the alleged execution of civilians in the city by Russian occupying forces.

Ukrainian officials have not formally confirmed the occupation of these settlements.

Ukrainian militray contradicts earlier claims by Deep State project about the capture of Selydove. Ukrainian military announced on 31 Ocotber repulsion of the Russian attacks in the direction of the city.

The military reports that the situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 28 Russian attacks near settlements including Myroliubivka, Promin, Myrnograd, Lisivka, Sukhyi Yar, Novogrodivka, Vyshneve, Krutyi Yar, and Selydove.

The situation around Selydove has been developing over recent weeks. On 16 October, Bild expert Julian Röpcke said that Selydove was “semi-encircled” and predicted that “Ukrainian defense forces will be forced to abandon the city.”

“Russian forces are advancing and have already occupied part of the settlement,” stated Stanislav Buniatov, a platoon commander of the 24th Separate Assault Brigade, on 22 October.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirmed Russian advances toward central Selydove on 28 October, citing geolocated footage showing Russian forces raising their flag over the Selydove City Council building.
