A Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia City resulted in three fatalities and 19 injuries, including a child, as reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

Initially, Fedorov reported that two were killed and among the injured were a nine-year-old boy and his 36-year-old mother, as well as two men aged 20 and 22, all in moderate condition. A 55-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man were in serious condition. All victims were receiving medical attention in the hospital.

The attack took place during an air raid and ballistic missile strike alert in the region. Later the oblast chief reported two more explosions in the city.

Ivan Fedorov later updated that the number of injured had risen to 13, with four in critical condition, and reported three fatalities.

As of 19:00, the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration reported three deaths and 19 injuries from Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia’s residential areas today. According to him, four people are in critical condition.

Detached houses and shops have been destroyed. All emergency services are working on-site to mitigate the consequences of the attacks. The information is still being clarified,” the oblast authorities said.

The Russian attack on the city also injured Ukrinform correspondent Olga Zvonariova, as reported by her colleague, photojournalist Dmytro Smolienko, Ukrinform said. Zvonaryova was wounded in the leg and is currently undergoing surgery.

Update:

Russian forces launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, striking with five missiles and targeting civilian infrastructure, as reported by the National Police.

The initial assault involved three missiles, followed by a subsequent strike with two more. The attack damaged civilian infrastructure, including buildings, shops, pharmacies, restaurants, and vehicles. The identification of the specific types of missiles used by the Russians is currently underway, according to the report.
