Russian attacks kill 1, injure 7 over past day

Russian military attacked six Ukrainian oblasts over the past day, killing one civilian and injuring seven others, local authorities reported on 3 March.

Russia shelled Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv Oblast on the morning of 3 March, injuring a 60-year-old man, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said.

Over the past day, Russian troops attacked more than 15 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast, according to the local governor.

In the attack on the Kharkiv’s Kupiansk, a 55-year-old volunteer sustained shrapnel wounds, and a civilian car was damaged.

Overnight on 3 March, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Dnipro, Governor Serhii Lysak said. They also launched a drone to Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, damaging residential buildings.

Over the past day, Russia shelled the Nikopol district several times, hitting the district center and injuring four people, damaging 16 residential buildings, 12 outbuildings, cars, greenhouses, gas pipelines, and a power line.

In Kherson Oblast, Russian military attacks killed one person and injured another one over the past day, Governor Oleksandr Produkin said.

Russia’s attack on the oblast damaged three high-rise buildings and 15 residential buildings, a post office, critical infrastructure facilities, an administrative building, a store, and cars.

Donetsk Oblast also suffered from Russian strikes. Over the past day, Russia injured three residents in the Murnohrad district and one resident of Berestky in the oblast, Governor Vadym Filashkin said.

Russian forces also attacked Sumy and Mykolaiv oblasts over the past day, but no casualties were reported.

Overnight into 2 March, Russian troops attacked Odesa, killing ten people, including a three-year-old, a four-month-old, and up to one-year-old kid, injuring eight others.
