Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited the battalion command post of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, currently engaged in combat missions in the Kupiansk direction, the Presidential Office announced on 19 February.

The situation in the Kupiansk direction remains one of the most challenging as Russian troops continue their attempts to retake the Kharkiv Oblast territories liberated by Ukrainian defenders in September 2022.

During the visit, the President awarded defenders who distinguished themselves in protecting Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
