Russian recent attacks killed 2, injured 9 in Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv oblasts

Since the Russian full-scale invasion, Russia launched about 7,400 missiles and 3,700 Shahed attack drones at targets in Ukraine. Ukraine’s Air Forces downed 1,600 missiles and 2,900 drones, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command said.

At 10 am on 28 December, Russian troops attacked the border town of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast, killing a 66-year-old woman and injuring a 63-year-old woman, Kharkiv Oblast head Oleh Syniehubov said.

The Russian army shelled residential areas and a medical facility in Beryslav, Kherson Oblast, local governor Oleksandr Produkin said on 28 December. The Russian attacks resulted in killing one person and injuring six people.

Over the past day, the Russian military launched 80 attacks and 404 shells on Kherson Oblast from mortars, artillery, Grad, tanks, aircraft, and UAVs, according to Produkin.

Over the last day, the Russian military injured two people in Avdiivka and Pereyizne in Donetsk Oblast, local governor Ihor Moroz said on Facebook on 28 December.

Overnight into 28 December, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 8 Shahed UAV drones from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, Ukraine’s Air Forces reported. Ukraine’s Air Defences systems shot down 7 of the 8 Shahed drones over the Dnipro, Kirovohrad, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

Russia launched about 7,400 missiles and 3,700 Shahed attack drones at targets in Ukraine during its 22-month full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Radio Liberty reported, citing the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, on 21 December.  Ihnat said that Ukrainian Air Defences shot down about 1,600 missiles and 2,900 drones.
