Russian night attacks kill a truck driver, injure 5 civilians

Overnight on 7 December, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, killing one person, and injuring five others.

Russia attacked the Izmail region in Odesa Oblast, damaging warehouses, elevators, and trucks in the port infrastructure. According to the local governor Ihor Kiper, a trucker driver was killed.

According to the Donetsk military administration, Russian troops targeted multiple regions of the Oblast, injuring two people in Avdiivka, and injuring one person and damaging four residential and private buildings in the Horlivka district.

Kharkiv Oblast head Oleh Synehubov said that the Russian military launched artillery and mortar shelling on over 21 settlements in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Izium and Kupiansk districts. The Russian attack resulted in the injuring of two women aged 58 and 49, as well as damaging the administrative building, a 3-storey enterprise building, the railway station, and private houses.

Overnight into 7 December Ukraine’s aid defenses shot down 15 of the 18 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs, the Air Force reported. The main areas of attack, launched from the Russian-occupied Crimea, were Khmelnytskyi and Odesa oblasts. According to the Khmelnytskyi military administration, there were no casualties or damages.

Over the past day, the Russian military fired 24 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy Oblast. According to the Sumy Oblast military administration, two people were injured in the oblast.

Kherson Oblast head Oleksandr Produkin said that over the last day, Russian troops made 88 attacks, launching 387 shells from different heavy weapons on residential areas of the region’s settlements, the territory and buildings of the pumping station in Beryslav district in the oblast.
