The Museum was opened in Kyiv in August 2009 to commemorate at least four million people who starved to death in Ukraine during the artificial man-made famine unleashed in 1932-33 by communist dictator Joseph Stalin. At the height of the Holodomor, 28,000 people were dying per day.
