The number of Russia’s assault actions and air strikes has rapidly intensified, while Russian personnel and military equipment losses have also increased. General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the Commander of Ukraine’s Tavria Operational and Strategic Grouping of Troops, stated this on Telegram.
“In the Tauria sector [in Ukraine’s south], the enemy launched one missile and 29 air strikes, conducted 38 combat engagements, and fired 911 artillery rounds,” Tarnavskyi wrote, separately mentioning that the air strikes involved KAB gliding bombs dropped by Russia’s Su-35 aircraft.
A day earlier, Tarnavskyi reported that Russians carried out 29 land attacks and shelled 637 artillery rounds.
Now, the commander says Russia lost 491 troops as KIA in the operational area of the Tavria Grouping on 21 November, while seven Russian soldiers surrendered. Additionally, the Russians lost three ammunition storages and 21 pieces of military equipment, including three tanks, three armored personnel carriers, one ATGM, six UAVs, four transport vehicles, and four units of special equipment, including a line-charge launcher UR-77 “Meteorite.”
According to Tarnavskyi, Ukrainian forces are “steadfastly holding the line in the Avdiivka sector,” where the Russian troops continue a massive assault operation trying to encircle and overrun the city. At the same time, the offensive in the Melitopol sector in western Zaporizhzhia Oblast continues, he says.
