According to the Ukrainian General Staff’s December 15 assessment of Russia’s combat losses during its invasion of Ukraine, Russia lost a total of approximately 96,590 soldiers with 590 of the Russian troops eliminated on 14 December.

The Russian equipment losses go as follows, according to the General Staff:

  • tanks: 2,975 (+5 on Dec 14)
  • APV: 5,946 (+9)
  • artillery systems: 1,943 (+12)
  • MLRS: 406 (+2)
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems: 211 (+0)
  • aircraft: 281 (+0)
  • helicopters: 264 (+0)
  • operational-tactical level UAVs: 1,644 (+27)
  • cruise missiles: 592 (+0)
  • warships/boats: 16 (+0)
  • vehicles and fuel tanks: 4,563 (+1)
  • special equipment: 172 (+1)
