Russian authorities plan to draft up to 10,000 men from temporarily occupied Mariupol for the war against Ukraine, the mayor Vadym Boichenko has said.

Since the beginning of March, Mariupol has been blocked by Russian forces. According to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, 95% of buildings in the city were destroyed in bombardments.
