Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for the introduction of preventive sanctions against Russia, not strikes on the territory. But Russian authorities have begun to "prepare their society" for the possible use of nuclear weapons in a war, Zelenskyy said to BBC.
The Ukrainian president denied that he called for strikes against Russia, claiming that the word "strikes" he used was mistranslated into Ukrainian.
