On 5 September, the last power transmission line connecting the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with Ukraine’s power grid which supplies the NPP's own needs was turned off due to Russia's shelling, Energoatom informed.
The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. It was seized by Russian forces in March 2022.
