The European Association of European Film Agency Directors EFAD unanimously voted for the entry of the Ukrainian State Film Agency (Derzhkino).

“After having condemned the invasion of Ukraine and expressed its solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the EFAD association, as well as its members, have taken concrete steps to provide support to Ukrainian film professionals either in Ukraine or in the countries where they found refuge,” EFAD wrote.

“This is a very important decision for Ukrainian cinema because it will give an opportunity to tell the truth about Russia’s war against Ukraine with the help of cinema,” the Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak stressed.

This step will be significant support for the Ukrainian film industry in the conditions of a full-scale war and will strengthen cooperation between the Ukrainian and European film industries, Derzhkino emphasizes.
