Together with the United States, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, Ukraine was considered a country “most unfriendly to Russia” as reported by the poll results of the Levada Center, a Moscow-based sociological research firm.
73% of Russians consider the United States to be “unfriendly to Russia.” The next one was Ukraine with 37%. Latvia and Lithuania each hold 25% versus 22% for Poland.
At the same time, 26% of Russians think positively about Ukraine.
Five of the countries “most friendly to Russia” are considered to be Belarus (55%), China (43%), Kazakhstan (41%), India and Armenia (18%).
The latest survey was conducted May 22-25, 2015 with 1,600 respondents in 46 regions of Russia.
