Homage to a captive Cyborg

Overcome Evil With Good

Homage to a captive Cyborg

You went as He went, in profound humility
Your own cross to carry to your Golgotha
Deep wounds and thick, pooled blood
Under camouflage clothing, soaked in sweat

The growl of an angry crowd against you, too
“Crucify him!” Because you dared defend Ukraine
And so you went, an innocent condemned
Curses hurled and stones thrown against your back

Be careful lest you fall, my dearest, beneath your cross’s weight
You need some strength to complete this path of passion
It is not worth returning evil in kind
Better to offer a gentle Prayer to God within your soul

…How humble you’ve been in carrying your cross
While the mob sought food and festivals
They walk their own path of terrible shame
Whereas for you this has been the way of GLORY
