Crimean Minister for Resorts and Tourism Yelena Yurchenko claims that since the beginning of the year, over 2 million tourists have visited Crimea and she expects the number to reach 3 million by the end of the year.

“We have calculated approximately, that sometime after the 10th of August we will have this number, today the number of holiday makers in Crimea surpassed 2 million people. This testifies to the fact that we understand what is happening and what we have to do,” the press service of the Ministry for Resorts and Tourism of the Crimean Republic cites the head of the institution on Tuesday.

Yurchenko expressed her surety that by the end of the year Crimea will be able to accommodate 3 million tourists. “Three million is the number that allow the industry to remain stable and profitable, therefore we are talking about this number exactly.
