Euromaidan has survived the night of confrontations with security forces. Maidan Nezalezhnosti greeted the new day by singing the National Anthem and other songs.

Several minibuses from Lviv have arrived to help Kyiv. According to those arriving, many more Lviv residents are heading to Kyiv. Speakers are delivering speeches from the stage, and people are breaking up the brick pavements – to use them for fighting back in case of the assault. At 6 am, rescuers had to abandon the Trade Unions building, which has been on fire through the night, as the structures started collapsing between the 4th and the 5th floors.
Kyiv metro remains closed. People are urged to come to Maidan from the side of Besarabka, and to bring along the following: tires, glass bottles, gasoline, machine oil, cotton cloth, food, drinking water, medications.
