The Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP) Filaret blessed Easter eggs (krashanky) and paskas (Easter breads) for Ukrainian soldiers currently deployed in the Donbas war zone.  Patriarch Filaret also blessed Easter kits assembled by volunteers. The event was attended by chaplains, volunteers and servicemen.

The same day, Archbishop Agapit Vyshhorodsky also blessed about 10,000 paskas for soldiers and Donbas residents at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv.

May whichever God anyone here believes in grant us a successful and peaceful end to this war, and send the greedy, amoral, sadistic psychopaths who started/arranged/profited from it (Yanukovych, that’s you just in case you’re reading this) to the depths of Hell.

I know asking for eternal damnation isn’t typical in a prayer, but in this case I ask for an exception. God has seen the evil done and the evil intended, from the 118 men on the Kursk that Putin left to die for no good reason to the 10,000+ Ukrainian men and women who have given up their lives to defend their peaceful homeland from Putin and the greedy, sycophantic vermin who surround him.

Слава Україні! Героям Слава! Христос воскрес, і Він буде судити зрадники!
(Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes! Christ is risen and He will judge the traitors!)

In Russia these priests only blessing the guns, weapons, and soldiers going to Ukraine.
    Russians have no religion.

Good to see that the Kyiv Patriarchate is completely independent of the Moscow church, and not bowing down to Putin like the Moscow Patriarchate does.

Patriarch Kiril in Moscow has denigrated his own church and dragged its name in the mud by serving the state instead of God.
