March 9 – Key challenges holding back the resolution of Ukrainian-Russian crisis is that Europeans do not believe in a military threat and think that diplomatic leverage over Putin is possible, – said the President of the European Council Donald Tusk: “Putin would like to control all of Ukraine, but the EU doesn’t understand it. Enough with illusions, the EU is not ready for tougher sanctions. March 9 – The militants are renewing combat effectiveness of their units, trying to learn more about combat environment and the location of Ukrainian units; they are also accumulating weapons, ammunition and military equipment along the boundary line, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko. Poroshenko has noted that “negotiations in “Normandy four” format over the phone have also been planned”. March 9 – The negotiations on the release of Nadiya Savchenko, who is illegally detained in Russia, are continuing “at the highest possible level”, – said her lawyer Mark Feigin: “I’ve already started this process. This is a legitimate procedure, but it foresees a secret protocol, thus I will refrain from comments, it’s confidential”, – said the lawyer. March 9 – The actions of the Luhansk resident who brought the Ukrainian soldiers on the blockpost a jar of honey with an explosive was coordinated by workers of HRU HSH of the Armed Forces of RF with the nicknames “Oleksiy” and “Dmytrovych” who also provided him with arms and explosives- Security Service of Ukraine. March 9 – Russian President Volodymyr Putin awarded the Order of Recognition to the head of Chechniya Ramzan Kadyrova.     З одного боку бачимо явну чи латентну консолідацію Континенту (Світового острова). Росія зайняла гостро опозиційну диспозицію щодо США+. Китай – у вичікуючій диспозиції. Ряд країн ЄС, які традиційно тяжіли до Континенту (Німеччина, Австрія, Франція – див. Т.Возняк: Проблема німецького вибору у російсько-українській війні) є у двозначній диспозиції. Вони тісно пов'язані/нейтралізовані Світовими океанами. Однак у випадку Німеччини так само тісно пов'язані/напівнейтралізовані Росією. Але щодень то більше пов'язані/напівнейтралізовані Китаєм, де у ФРН маса проектів та планів. Окрім того, на всі ці пов'язаності/напівнейтралізації накладається ще й шлейф традиційного континентального політичного мислення та позиціонування.

    З іншого боку бачимо, як у формальний і не формальний спосіб консолідувалася традиційно антиконтинентальна англосаксонська ліга у складі США, Канади, Австралії, Нової Зеландії, Великої Британії.

    І, ще раз повторимося, в точності з передбаченням Маккіндера до антиконтинентальної ліги долучився колишній центральноєвропейський "санітарний коридор", який тільки змінює свою назву (Міжмор'я, УЛБ, ГУАМ, Вишеградська четвірка). Однак від зміни назви його "санітарна", "ізолююча" функція не змінюється.

    Сьогодні у склад віртуального неформалізованого Міжмор'я ситуативно входять Польща, Україна, Литва, Латвія, Естонія, Румунія, Молдова. В принципі, там є місце і на Білорусь та Грузію. І деякі кроки Білорусі Лукашенка підтверджують, що і вона у непрямий спосіб майже непомітно, проте дрейфує, наскільки може, у тому ж напрямку.

    January 4: Militants in Donetsk have again announced curfew restrictions

    Maidan Community Sector, Lviv: Dear friends!

    January 4 – No Ukrainian military have died, three were wounded in the ATO area in last 24 hours, said deputy NSDC spokesman Volodymyr Polevyi.

    January 4 – Militants in Donetsk have again announced curfew restrictions (these were cancelled for new year holidays). The residents have been warned to carry a passport with them at all times and not to walk the streets of Donetsk after 10 pm.

    January 4 – Situation in the ATO area (Donetsk direction) has significantly deteriorated during the day – illegal armed groups have carried out 22 attacks on Ukrainian military positions.

    January 4 – Someone has tried to set fire to the office of Kherson Charity Foundation "Zakhyst" (community organization supporting the army). The incident is one in a series of attacks on charities and organizations of volunteers supporting Ukrainian Armed Forces in many cities of Ukraine.

    January 4 – There was an explosion at the Coordination center for ATO soldiers in Odessa undermined. According to preliminary information, nobody has died or was wounded. Russian terrorists are trying to expand their activities across Ukraine.

    January 4 – An absolute majority of citizens of Ukraine (88.3%) oppose the unification of their region to Russia; only 3.1% of respondents support this idea.

    This is verified by the results of a sociologigal research which was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

    The degree of patriotism decreases moving from West to East, if one examines the situation by regions: West (94.0%), Central (98.1%),South (93.3%), East (81.5%). Overall, Kherson and Halychyna scored "zero". Its answer to Nikita Makhalkov was also provided by the "eternally Russian" city of Odesa – 0.0%.

    Analagous figures were elicited by the question whether the citizens would want their region to separate from Ukraine, but to remain independent and not to unite with Russia. Only 2.6% want the independence of their region.
