Italy has delivered ten power generators with a combined capacity of 1,500 kVA to Ukraine, the Italian Embassy in Kyiv announced on Facebook.
The generators were transferred under agreements reached between Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Each unit is mounted on wheels, allowing rapid redeployment to wherever critical needs arise.
In addition to the generators, Italy is sending more than 300 boilers to Ukraine.
"Italy continues to support the continuity of the most essential services for the Ukrainian population, as Russian attacks persist and winter temperatures remain extremely harsh," Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Carlo Formosa said.
The delivery comes as several European countries step up energy assistance to Ukraine ahead of the remaining cold-weather weeks. Last week, Finland announced it would transfer 52 generators to Ukraine during February. France, meanwhile, has pledged grant support exceeding €70 million, with part of the funding earmarked for Ukraine's energy sector.
