Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced that China has agreed to provide Ukraine with an additional humanitarian energy aid package following bilateral talks in Munich with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
"China will provide Ukraine with an additional package of humanitarian energy assistance," Sybiha said after the meeting.
During the negotiations, the Ukrainian foreign minister briefed his Chinese counterpart on the battlefield situation and Russian attacks targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Sybiha also informed the Chinese side about damage inflicted on Chinese companies as a result of Russian strikes.
The meeting took place in Munich, where both ministers were attending diplomatic engagements. No further details about the scope or timeline of the energy aid package were disclosed in Sybiha's announcement.
