Russia hit Odesa infrastructure and residential buildings overnight 27 January, injuring 23 people, while attacks on Mykolaiv's energy infrastructure left one woman critically injured and 80% of Kharkiv and the oblast remain without power following a combined missile and drone strike.

Russian forces launched strike drones against Odesa overnight, with explosions reported around 02:19 following at least five impacts, according to Odesa Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak. Air Force command had warned an hour earlier that strike drones were approaching the city from the sea.

"Over ten impact sites were recorded," the State Emergency Service of Odesa oblast reported. A two-story residential building was damaged, while another two-story building had an apartment destroyed on the second floor. A four-story building lost apartments from the second to fourth floors, and a fire broke out on the fourth and fifth floors of a nine-story building after a direct hit.

Emergency services evacuated residents, including a child, from damaged buildings. "Part of a residential building in Khadzhybeiskyi district was destroyed. People may be under the rubble, search and rescue operations are ongoing," Lysak added. The attack also damaged a kindergarten and a church building in the city center.

The strike injured 22 people, according to the Odesa Military Administration. Fourteen sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance on site. Windows in neighboring buildings were blown out and vehicles were damaged.

In Mykolaiv Oblast, Russian forces primarily targeted the region's energy infrastructure with drones overnight. "Russians attacked the region with Shaheds and various types of decoy drones," the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported.

A 59-year-old woman was critically injured in Olshanska hromada, where one private house was destroyed and two more damaged by falling debris. The woman was transported to a hospital in Mykolaiv. Air defense forces neutralized ten strike UAVs over Mykolaiv oblast during the night.

Kharkiv faced a combined attack on the evening of 26 January that left much of the city and oblast without electricity. "This was a combined attack—missile strikes and UAVs. About 80% of Kharkiv city and the oblast are currently without electricity because we have emergency shutdown schedules in effect," Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov said.

The strikes damaged an energy infrastructure facility, causing widespread power outages. Two schools in Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district were also damaged. At least two civilians were injured and are receiving necessary medical assistance, according to preliminary data.

"Due to serious damage to energy facilities, specialists are forced to apply emergency schedules, and restoration work continues in an intensified mode," Syniehubov said.
