“Russian regular forces launch attacks against Ukrainian checkpoints 29 and 31,” reports Andrii Lysenko

The Ukrainian army has been attacked by formations of the regular armed forces of the Russian Federation in Luhansk oblast, according to ATO spokesperson, Andrii Lysenko.

“In contravention of all prior agreements, Ukrainian military units have been attacked in the northern section of the ATO zone by regular army formations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Intense fighting continues in the raions that include the 29th and 31st checkpoints, along what is referred to as the Bakhmutskyi highway,” he explained.

“ATO forces have forced a halt to the advance of the Russian army between Zymohiria and Slovianoserbsk,” he added.

Editor’s note. According to Commander of the Donbas battalion Semen Semenchenko as per Viktor Kovalenko, 1 Ukrainian serviceman was KIA and 7 WIA due to this attack.
