The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and Ukrainian Special Operations Forces conducted a drone attack on a chemical plant in Russia's Tula Oblast overnight on 9 November, targeting a facility that produces gunpowder and ammunition for the Russian military, Suspilne reported, citing its sources.
According to SBU sources speaking to Suspilne, the Aleksinsky Chemical Plant, a subsidiary of the Rostec corporation, was struck during the operation.
The Russian Defense Ministry claims it shot down 50 Ukrainian drones across seven oblasts during the night, including 28 in Bryansk Oblast, 12 in Kursk Oblast, and two each in Smolensk and Tula oblasts.
The Russian Telegram channel ASTRA reported that at least 11 drones targeted the city of Aleksin specifically.
Kyiv has not commented on the Russian claims about the drone attack.
