The Ukrainian forces, using UAVs provided by the “Army of Drones” project, destroyed 391 Russian positions on the frontline last week, Ukraine’s Digital Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced on 26 December.
Fedorov said Ukrainian drone operators eliminated 391 Russian strongpoints from 18 to 25 December. In addition, they destroyed 58 armored combat vehicles, 44 trucks, 36 cannons, 6 howitzers, 31 tanks, and over two hundred Russian troops.
“Army of Drones” UAVs were responsible for over 35% of Russian tank losses in October 2023. From 2-30 October, the Ukrainian military, utilizing UAVs provided by the “Army of Drones” project, destroyed 175 Russian tanks, comprising a significant portion of the 473 total tanks destroyed during this period.
In November, Fedorov announced that Ukraine would create an “Army of Robots” and an “Army of Electronic Warfare.”
