Chornomorets wrote on his Facebook page that he knows the soldier who made the shot and said that it is true. He also added that this is already the second sniper shot at a distance of 3.8 km, which hit the target during the Russo-Ukrainian war. However, the previous time, the enemy was only wounded, while this time the Russian serviceman was killed.
The Ukrainian sniper reportedly used Horizon’s Lord sniper rifle made by a Ukrainian company with the same name in cooperation with Bartlein Barrels Inc. (USA) and ARC Ballistics (UK). The rifle uses bullets of various types, depending on the barrel, including 2,7х99NATO, 12,7х108; 12,7х114HL; 14,5×114. It’s declared effective range is 2,500 meters while the maximum range of fire should be higher.
