German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius visited the frontline regions of Ukraine and military headquarters near the combat zone. Pistorius became one of the few Western defense ministers to personally travel so close to the front line to observe Ukrainian troops operating under real combat conditions, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated.
Germany is currently the world’s largest provider of security assistance to Ukraine, accounting for roughly one-third of total aid.
Germany shown DELTA system, assault operations, and drone coordination
During the visit, Ukrainian forces demonstrated the operational situation on several sectors of the front, the work of the DELTA digital battlefield management system, assault operation planning, drone coordination, and strikes against Russian logistics.
Fedorov said Ukraine continues to scale up technological solutions on the battlefield, while Germany has become one of Kyiv’s key partners in this area.
“It is important for us to show our partners the reality of war: how Ukraine is changing strategy, how technology helps destroy the enemy and save lives,” the Ukrainian defense minister said.
5,000 strikes per month: Ukraine systematically destroys Russian logistics
Fedorov stated that international partners have already invested more than $1 billion in the development of Ukraine’s deep-strike and mid-strike capabilities.
According to him, mid-strike operations are now systematically disrupting Russian military logistics.

“Today, mid-strike capabilities are systematically stopping enemy logistics. We are already carrying out around 5,000 strikes every month at depths exceeding 20 kilometers,” Fedorov said.
He added that the effectiveness and scale of strikes will continue to grow as drone procurement increases.
Germany became first country to support Ukraine’s drone assault units
Fedorov separately thanked Berlin for supporting Ukraine’s drone assault units, emphasizing that Germany was the first country to back this direction.
During the trip, Pistorius and Fedorov also joined an online meeting of EU defense ministers chaired by Kaja Kallas.
According to the Ukrainian minister, the key message to allies sounds especially clear from frontline regions: support for Ukraine should not be reduced, but strengthened.
Fedorov concluded by thanking Germany and Boris Pistorius personally for supporting Ukraine and for being willing to “see the reality of war with their own eyes.”
