Russian attacks on 25 March wounded 13 people across Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Donetsk oblasts, according to the heads of the respective regional military administrations (RMAs).
In Sumy Oblast, a drone strike wounded a 60-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, RMA head Oleh Hryhorov reports. Russian forces attacked over 110 times across 43 settlements in 20 communities throughout the day. The strikes damaged residential buildings, a medical facility, administrative buildings, infrastructure, and vehicles.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast recorded one wounded. Russian forces delivered 662 strikes against 35 settlements, using multiple-launch rocket systems, artillery, 20 airstrikes, and hundreds of drones, according to RMA head Ivan Fedorov. Authorities received 68 damage reports covering housing, infrastructure, and vehicles.
Kherson Oblast sustained the heaviest civilian toll: nine people were wounded. Russian forces struck dozens of settlements, including Kherson city itself, targeting residential districts and critical infrastructure, RMA head Oleksandr Prokudin reports. Damaged objects include multi-story apartment buildings, private homes, gas pipelines, and warehouse facilities.
In Donetsk Oblast, one person was wounded over the 24-hour period, RMA head Vadym Filashkin reports. He noted that the oblast's total casualty figures do not include Mariupol and Volnovakha
Railway and port infrastructure hit overnight
Overnight into 26 March, Russia struck railway and port infrastructure, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba reported.
In Kirovohrad Oblast, drones attacked a locomotive maintenance facility. Several locomotives were damaged. In southern Ukraine, strikes hit warehouses and piers, damaging buildings belonging to port operators and a maritime terminal.
"Fortunately, no one was injured during these attacks. All relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences and restore operations," Kuleba said.
153 drones launched; 130 downed
From the evening of 25 March, Russian forces launched 153 strike drones of various types, the Air Force of Ukraine reports. Air defense neutralized 130 of them.
"As of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 130 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Herber, Italmas types and other drone types in the north, south, and east of the country. Sixteen strike UAVs hit 11 locations, and downed debris fell on five locations," the Air Force said.
Russia launched the drones from Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Hvardiyske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. Approximately 100 of the drones were Shaheds.
Ukraine's air defense response involved aviation, air defense missile units, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces. As of the morning report, the attack was still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace. The Defense Forces urged the public not to ignore safety rules.
