On 2 March, Russia struck a civilian passenger train while it was in motion. One person was killed, and several others were injured, reported Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba.

What threatens passengers while in transit?
“In Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a Russian drone hit one of the carriages of a suburban train that was in motion. Unfortunately, one person was killed,” Kuleba stated.
According to preliminary data from Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's railway operator, the injured passenger died en route to the hospital, one person sustained severe injuries, and up to five other passengers suffered cuts of varying degrees. Other passengers are being examined by medical personnel.
The locomotive crew urgently stopped the train and cleared the smoke. Passengers were evacuated and provided with first aid.
Those injured are being transported to medical facilities by the State Emergency Service (DSNS) for further care. Arrangements are currently underway to transport all passengers.
Earlier, expert Dmytro Snehyriov said that Russia deliberately strikes civilian passenger trains, as the strategic goal is to block evacuation routes while simultaneously creating unbearable living conditions in major cities.
