Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has reported it has approved the use of MT-GEKKO-PRO-40 and MT-GEKKO-PRO-50 night vision monoculars. They have been developed by domestic manufacturers.
The devices have already passed combat trials, demonstrating high reliability and durability.
Enhanced optics and protection: capabilities of the monoculars
“Thanks to close collaboration between the manufacturer and the military, the MT-GEKKO-PRO-40 and MT-GEKKO-PRO-50 feature advanced optics," the Ministry of Defense reports.
Depending on the configuration, they can detect enemy personnel at over 400 meters and vehicles at nearly 2,000 meters.
The devices assist in terrain navigation, technical work on equipment, providing medical aid to wounded personnel, reading maps, and operating vehicles under low visibility conditions.
Battlefield convenience: handheld or helmet/weapon mount
The MT-GEKKO-PRO monoculars can be handheld or mounted on a helmet or a weapon, enabling adaptation to various combat tasks.
“Ukrainian-made monoculars are generally cheaper than foreign analogs,” the Ministry of Defense emphasized, highlighting the value-for-money ratio.
