A Russian strike hit a residential area in Kharkiv overnight, killing a 20-year-old woman and injuring three others, local authorities said.
Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, is located less than 40 kilometers from the Russian border and has been under frequent attack since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. The city is regularly targeted with missiles, drones, and guided bombs, hitting residential areas, energy infrastructure, and civilian facilities.

The attack hit a private house in the city’s Kholodnohirskyi district. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said there were civilian casualties at the site.
Regional governor Oleh Syniehubov confirmed that one person was killed in the attack. He said the victim was a 20-year-old woman.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (DSNS) said Russian forces launched an attack drone at a private residential area. Three other people were injured.
The drone strike caused damage and a fire. A residential house and the roof of a gazebo were burning, with the fire covering about 150 square meters.
Emergency responders, including bomb disposal units and canine teams, were deployed at the scene. Psychologists also provided support to local residents affected by the attack.
