Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Atlant Aero enterprise in Taganrog, Rostov region, with Ukrainian-made missiles during the night of 13 January, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The operation targeted the drone production facility, with explosions and fire observed near the production buildings following the strike by the Security Service of Ukraine's Special Operations Center "Alpha" and Naval Forces units.
“Atlant Aero carries out the full cycle of design, manufacture, and testing of Molniya strike reconnaissance UAVs, as well as components for Orion UAVs,” the General Staff noted in its statement.
While damage assessment continues, the General Staff emphasizes that hitting this target will reduce Russian capabilities in drone production. The Atlant Aero facility handles the complete cycle of design, manufacturing, and testing of Molniya strike-reconnaissance UAVs, as well as components for Orion drones.
Ukrainian forces also struck multiple targets on temporarily occupied territories. In the village of Cheresheve in Zaporizhzhia region, a Tor anti-aircraft missile system was hit. A Tunguska anti-aircraft system was destroyed in Podspor'ye settlement, while a P-18-2 Prima radar station was struck in Lozuvatka. Near Lyubimivka, Defense Forces targeted enemy personnel concentration.
In the area of occupied Makiivka in Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian forces hit an ammunition depot and enemy personnel concentration. Another Tor system was destroyed in the village of Soniachne.
