Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a meeting focused on securing additional air defense missiles for Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.
In his nightly video address, Zelenskyy identified air defense missiles as the top priority. "In particular, tomorrow we have a meeting where we will be discussing this," he said.
The president detailed his discussions with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi on air defense issues and partner supplies, covering what is currently in transit, which requests remain outstanding, and what deliveries need to be expedited.
Zelenskyy emphasized the need for new contributions to the PURL initiative and deliveries from European stockpiles. "New contributions from partners to the PURL initiative are needed, as well as deliveries from stockpiles in Europe: the missiles are there in the depots, and we know that, we know all of it – and they have to be in service with our air defenders," he stated.
Russia deployed nearly 1,100 attack drones, more than 890 guided aerial bombs, and over 50 missiles of various types against Ukraine this week.
