Ukrainian drone operators from the Asgard battalion destroyed eight Russian air defense systems over the past month in several key directions, according to the Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS). The Asgard battalion operates as part of the 412th separate Nemesis brigade within the SBS.
Asgard battalion eliminates eight Russian air defense systems in one-month strike campaign
The SBS reported that Asgard operators hit two Tor-M2 systems, two Buk-M1s, one Tor-M1, one Buk-M3, one Strela-10, and a 50N6E multifunctional radar tied to the S-350 Vityaz medium-range missile system. The radar, described as a core component of the S-350, can detect up to 100 airborne targets at once and simultaneously track up to eight for destruction. Its estimated value is about $130 million.
The Unmanned Systems Forces published video footage of Asgard’s combat work on its official Telegram channel.
The SBS estimated the total value of the eight destroyed systems at more than $250 million. It emphasized that the 412th Nemesis Brigade continues systematically dismantling Russia’s air defense structure, inflicting multimillion-dollar losses.
According to the SBS, the brigade has already destroyed or disabled over 50 Russian radar systems and missile launchers.
