A drone struck an oil depot in Stary Oskol, Belgorod Oblast, Russia, on the evening of 6 January, causing several storage tanks to catch fire, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
Increasingly over the past year, Ukraine has targeted Russian fuel depots, refineries, and export facilities to disrupt supply lines, limit frontline mobility, and weaken Moscow’s ability to fund and sustain its war effort.
Gladkov accused Ukrainian forces of carrying out the attack. Earlier, local Telegram channels reported a large fire outside Novy Oskol.
There are no reported casualties.
