Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces say they carried out more than 832,000 combat sorties and hit over 168,000 targets overall, with an estimated combined value of about $20 billion, in the seven months since the unit was created, according to a statement published on Facebook.
Ukraine became the first country to establish a dedicated drone branch within its armed forces when it created the Unmanned Systems Forces in June 2025. Operating with just 2.2% of Ukraine's total military personnel, the unit has emerged as one of the most effective forces on the battlefield - six of its units rank among the top 13 of 500 nationwide.
In their 5 January statement, the force said they have struck more than 350 targets on Russian territory.
The force said these strikes caused sustained losses to Russian military assets, with damage estimated at about $3 billion per month.
Targets reported by the unit include:
- 50,238 Russian troops
- 532 tanks
- 7,697 vehicles
- 5,548 motorcycles
- About 2,500 guns and howitzers
All strikes were reportedly verified through Ukraine's Delta battlefield management system, which tracks and confirms targets across the armed forces.
