Ukrainian Forces are intensifying deep strikes into Russia's territory. According to Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia’s direct and indirect losses since the beginning of the year amount to $21.5 billion.

Earlier, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that if all commitments from allies are fulfilled, Ukraine could receive up to $45 billion in defense aid in 2025, the highest figure to date throughout the war.

Syrskyi's statements came during the 32nd meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in “Ramstein” format. He briefed Ukraine's allies on the current frontline situation and emphasized the critical importance of continued external support.

The Ukrainian commander-in-chief called on allies to increase military assistance, primarily in the areas of air defense/missile defense (AD/MD) and long-range strike capabilities, stressing that these capabilities directly strengthen Ukraine’s position both on the battlefield and in the diplomatic arena.

He thanked partners for their solidarity, consistency, and joint efforts toward a just and sustainable peace.

Counteractions in the East: Kupiansk and Pokrovsk direction

In the eastern sector, the Defense Forces are conducting effective reconnaissance and strike operations. As a result, occupiers have been pushed back from Kupiansk, and nearly 90% of the city’s territory has been returned to Ukrainian control.

In the Pokrovsk direction, where the Russian military has attempted to capture the city for over 17 months, Ukrainian units are holding the defense and transitioning to counteroperations. As a result:

  • 16 sq. km in the northern part of Pokrovsk have been regained;
  • 56 sq. km in the areas of Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udachne west of the city have been recaptured.

These successes reduce Russian offensive potential, disrupt its logistics, and undermine its ability to conduct prolonged offensive operations.
