On 6 December, Ukraine celebrates its Armed Forces Day. At the same time, Ukrainian hackers have made a Russian company that serves 5,000 businesses “celebrate” along with them, UkrInform reports.
On the night of 6 December, cyber specialists from Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, along with activists from the BO Team cyber community, conducted a cyberattack against the information and communication infrastructure of the Russian company group Eltrans+.
The more such operations take place, the fewer microchips, components, and missile parts reach Russian factories.
Over 700 servers and computers were hit
As a result of the attack, more than 700 computers and servers were rendered inoperable, over a thousand company user accounts were deleted, and 165 terabytes of critical data were either destroyed or encrypted.
The company handles international and domestic transportation (road, sea, air, multimodal), warehousing, consolidated cargo shipments, and full customs clearance of goods.

Cargo declarations destroyed
The attack also damaged the access-control system, video-surveillance, data storage, and backup systems; network equipment; and the core of the data center, which was deactivated or taken out of service.
All cargo declarations were destroyed, and the company’s websites were defaced to greet Russian visitors with a message celebrating Ukraine’s Armed Forces Day.
Eltrans+ is among the top 10 largest customs brokers and freight forwarders in Russia. More than 5,000 Russian small, medium, and large businesses use its services.
